Corporate bloodshed went digital this Friday with “Corporate Retreat”

One of the week’s new at-home releases was “Corporate Retreat,” which arrived on Digital on July 10. The film stars Odeya Rush, Alan Ruck, and Rosanna Arquette, and it centers on a luxury team-building trip that turns into a survival fight against a vengeful retreat leader.

The pitch has enough hook to sell itself fast. Office culture horror works because corporate language is already creepy on its own if you push it half a step further. Retreats, loyalty exercises, enforced bonding, fake positivity, executive pressure. That world does not need much help turning nasty. Give it a killer edge and the genre machinery is already humming.

The film was described as mixing the appetite of “The Menu” with the punishment mechanics of “Saw,” and Gary J. Tunnicliffe handled the special makeup effects. That combination tells you exactly what sort of ride this wants to be. Not subtle. Not elegant. Just corporate hell with extra blood on the spreadsheets.

Digital release weeks are full of titles fighting for attention, so “Corporate Retreat” at least picked a clean lane. Workplace satire, gore, and a leadership seminar from hell is a decent way to announce yourself in the middle of July.
